GEORGETOWN, CA (MPG) - Music on the Divide will be bringing back the world renowned musical duo, Anne and Jeff Barnhart, known as Ivory&Gold, to the IOOF Hall stage on November 17th. Ivory&Gold® has played to packed houses on 6 of the 7 continents in every imaginable scenario. Since 2001 this husband-and-wife team has thrilled audiences at over 300 shows per year, presenting ever more musical and comedic heights as they explore America’s timeless hits throughout the ages. The Barnhart’s versatility and rapport create an incomparable listening experience for all ages and settings, from an intimate 20 person gathering to a 2000 patron event. This performance with Anne Barnhart on flute and vocals and Jeff Barnhart on piano and vocals will specialize in swing, traditional jazz, ragtime, Broadway and gospel. Their repertoire boasts an extensive list of tunes from The Great American Songbook featuring the work of George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, Richard Rodgers and Harry Warren to name a few, along with jazz-oriented songs by Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, Hoagy Carmichael and Sidney Bechet.

Reviewers have left no doubt that this musical duo is not to be missed:

“Magic came out of the flute and piano. Although most of the songs were familiar, there was a new feel, a new tone, and the interplay between Anne and Jeffrey sparked the music even more. We have to have Ivory&Gold back not just because they are extremely talented, but because their talents are so rare.”

-Maggie Longey --program director, Wethersfield Historical Society, Keeney Memorial Cultural Center, Wethersfield, CT

"They draw out the beauty in the rich melodies and play the music...with taste, sensitivity, and a real affection for the idiom."

-Scott Yanow, reviewer for L.A. Jazz Scene and AllMusic
