Season of Gratitude and Reflection

As we head into the holiday season, I am reminded of all the things I am grateful for. Of course, my family and my friends whom I hold dear to my heart. But also, I reflect on the many successes and accomplishments of the Placer County Office of Education this past year. We launched a new website, celebrated our Teachers and Classified School Employees of the Year, honored schools for making meaningful change to student culture through PBIS, embarked on numerous grant-funded endeavors to support and implement Universal Design for Learning, led the way for the school-based behavioral health collaboration and Differentiated Assistance to districts, and served as the geographic lead for differentiated support.
Our resolutions for the new year remain the same - to equip every child with a first-class education to succeed in a global economy, to appreciate the cultural, social and historical resources of their community, and to be active participants in civic responsibilities.
Holiday greetings and best wishes for a peaceful and prosperous New Year!
Yours in education,
