Placer Superior Court Announces Implementation of eDelivery Services

Apr 16, 2020 12:00AM ● By County of Placer Press Release

PLACER COUNTY, CA (MPG) - The Placer County Superior Court is pleased to announce the ability to submit filings electronically through eDelivery, effective April 6, 2020. eDelivery is now available for parties in Civil, Small Claims, Family Law, Probate and Criminal cases. It is available on the Court’s website at www.placer.courts.ca.gov.

With eDelivery, documents in PDF format can be submitted by the filing party through a web portal. After a document is submitted, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided. Provided the information supplied is complete and the fees paid are correct, the document(s) will be accepted by the Court and will be filed with as if it had been filed in person or through the mail. An email notifying the filing party will be sent, along with an electronic conformed copy. An email will also be sent if the document is rejected, including the reasons why the Court did not accept the document.

Through the implementation of eDelivery, the Court hopes to both support the Court and court users’ transition to electronic filing of documents, use of electronic records as the official court record, and reduce the number of individuals who must come to the courthouse to file papers.

For more information about the eDelivery process, or to sign up, visit the Court’s website at www.placer.courts.ca.gov and select eDelivery.
