PLACER COUNTY, CA (MPG) - Foresthill High School senior and Boy Scout launches GoFundMe to build bocce ball court for American Legion Clubhouse Veterans

Foresthill High School senior and Boy Scout Kendall Carpenter is on a mission to build a bocce ball court after learning one was greatly desired by veterans at the American Legion Clubhouse in Veterans Memorial Park.

He launched a GoFundMe to raise funds for the costs of turf and remaining supplies to build the concrete base.

"Military service and care for our veterans is very important to me," Carpenter writes on the fundraising page. "I come from a military family, with three family members who are combat disabled veterans and Foresthill residents (mom Afghanistan, dad Iraq, grandpa Vietnam). My brother-in-law, also from Foresthill, is currently serving with the 2nd Cavalry Regiment in Germany. It is my honor to be providing a Bocce Ball court for our veterans!"
