Local restaurant murderer convicted of first-degree murder for the death of local woman

ROSEVILLE, CA – On Feb. 6, the Placer County District Attorney’s Office announced that 51-year-old Johnnie Jordan was convicted of first-degree murder as it relates to a local murder of a woman in 2021.  

Specifically, the defendant walked into a local restaurant in Placer County and murdered a waitress with whom he’d had a previous romantic relationship inside the restaurant. He then drove to the South Placer Jail and turned himself in.  
 
The defendant appeared in Placer County Superior Court on Feb. 6 where the murder conviction was secured by the Placer County District Attorney’s Office Family Protection Unit.  
 
The defendant is scheduled to be sentenced at 1:30 p.m. March 4 in Department 43.
