Carnival Lights, Court Highlights and the National Quadball Championship in Placer Valley

ROSEVILLE, CA (MPG) - Placer Valley presents the upcoming events set to take place in Placer County, a hub for community-based tourism and events, this summer through to 2026.

Girls California Live - June 12-14 at the Grounds, Roseville: 

The Girls California Live ’25 tournament returns to the Roebbelen Center June 12-14, bringing more than 100 elite high school girls’ basketball teams, top national recruits, and over 3,500 attendees from across the western U.S.

With more than 1,000 athletes showcasing their talent for college scouts, this NCAA-certified event is a major win for girls’ sports and for our region. The tournament is expected to generate over 1,000 hotel room nights and more than $1 million in economic impact for Placer Valley.

Fire & Ice Roseville Gamers Expo - June 21-22 at the Grounds, Roseville:

Get ready for the first-ever Fire & Ice Roseville Gamers Expo (RGX), coming to the Roebbelen Center @the Grounds on June 21-22. Created by Fire and Ice Games in Rocklin and the team behind Sac Gamers Expo, this family-friendly event features retro and modern console games, arcade machines, tabletop and trading card games, tournaments, a rare-item museum, live music on Saturday, special guests, and over 200 vendors and artists.

Children 8 and under are free with a paid adult, so bring the whole crew for a weekend of nonstop gaming fun!

The Placer County Fair - June 26-29 at the Grounds, Roseville:

Join us for four days of live concerts, thrilling carnival rides, delicious food, and nonstop family fun. Inside the air-conditioned Roebbelen Center, enjoy the Wine Experience, Vendor Showcase, Family Fun Zone, plus crowd favorites like Tyzen the Comedy Hypnotist and the Silver Starlets aerial acrobatics all included with admission. Outside, don’t miss the free Alaskan Racing Pigs and Speedway races.

2026 US Quadball Cup - April 18-19, 2026 at the Placer Valley Soccer Complex

The US Quadball Cup is coming to California for the first time ever, and it’s landing at the brand-new Placer Valley Soccer Complex in April 2026.

As the national championship for one of the most fast-paced and inclusive sports in the country, the event will bring 1,200 athletes and 60 elite teams from across the U.S. to compete at the highest level, generating an estimated $2.3 million in local revenue. Quadball is a mixed-gender sport inspired by the Harry Potter series that combines elements of rugby, dodgeball, and flag football, played while carrying a broom-like PVC pipe between the legs.

This West Coast debut marks one of the largest and most unique sporting events ever hosted in Placer Valley.
