ROSEVILLE, CA (MPG) -
Team Connelly, representing Wine Country Curling Club (WCCC), has earned a coveted berth to the 2025 USA Curling Arena National Championships after a standout performance at the Mountain Pacific (MoPac) Women’s Arena Playdowns held this past weekend in Tempe, Arizona.

The team of Jordan Connelly (Citrus Heights), Ashley Spalding (East Sacramento), Anne Bonache (East Sacramento), and Peg Anderson (Folsom) topped the field in a double round robin tournament featuring three women’s teams from across the MoPac region. They secured the top spot with their 3-1 record and will now head to Las Vegas this October to compete against the top arena curling teams in the country.

“As a team, we’re incredibly proud, not just of this opportunity, but of how we lifted each other up every step of the way,” said Skip Jordan Connelly. "This playdown weekend still feels surreal. Thank you to the event organizers for making this happen and all of the support from our club, Wine Country Curling Club.”

This marks the 8th consecutive year a Wine Country Curling Club team has attended or qualified for Arena Nationals, a remarkable streak that underscores the club’s strength and dedication to competitive curling.

“This win is a testament to the grit and growth of our athletes,” said Katie Feldman, President of Wine Country Curling Club. “We’ve sent teams to Arena Nationals every year since 2016 and each time, it’s a reflection of the spirit, strength, and community we’ve built here on our Roseville ice.”

Team Connelly will join Team Spangler who was last year’s men's national winner. Their gold medal at the 2024 event earned them an automatic entry into the 2025 USA Curling Arena National Championships.
