LAKE TAHOE, CA (MPG) - The Lake Tahoe Marathon is proud to celebrate its 30th year this Oct. 17-19. In recognition of this milestone, participants will receive exclusive commemorative items in addition to the traditional event swag.
All registered entrants will receive a 30th Anniversary runner’s cap. Marathon, Half Marathon and 72-Mile Midnight Express Ultra participants will also be presented with an event windbreaker. Each entrant will receive the annual long-sleeve artistic T-shirt, designed by acclaimed Lake Tahoe artist Jenny Antonucci. Finishers in the Marathon, Half Marathon, and Ultra events will be awarded a custom Lake Tahoe license plate holder. Complimentary race photography will be provided for all participants. There will be finishers' medals and age awards as well.
Participants and their families will also benefit from affordable off-season lodging rates in the Lake Tahoe area, while enjoying the region’s renowned autumn scenery and fall colors.

The Lake Tahoe Marathon Weekend packs in 16 exciting events across three days in both California and Nevada
The lineup includes three full marathons, three half marathons, two 5Ks, a 10K, multiple relays and the epic 72-mile Ultra circling the lake.

Races & Events
We host three marathons and three half-marathons across two states in three days.
New for this year is Saturday’s lineup including the Cal Neva Marathon (net downhill), which starts near Spooner Summit (7,000’) and finishes at Commons Beach in Tahoe City (6,230’). This is the fastest and easiest marathon of the three. There is also the Incline Half Marathon, which replaces the old Carnelian Bay Half, starting where the Friday Nevada Half finishes. Finally is the Very Scary 5K, which starts at Dollar Point Road, benefiting the North Tahoe HS Cross Country Team. Entry is free, but donations are encouraged. Finisher’s medals and t-shirts included!
Transportation
North Tahoe offers a free TART bus system. Ride to the start of the Saturday 5K or Half, or return post-race from Commons Beach back to your start line.
South Lake Tahoe also has a free bus system for race weekend.
Bonus 5K Fun
Run back-to-back 5Ks! Do the Very Scary 5K on Saturday at the North Lake Tahoe and the Super Hero 5K on Sunday in South Lake Tahoe.
