AUBURN, CA (MPG) - With the Nov. 4, Statewide Special Election just over a month away, the Placer County Elections Office would like to offer its voters a few important reminders.

If they haven't already, voters should be receiving their state and county voter information guides by mail in the next few days. Voting materials for all active, eligible Placer County voters will be in the mail by Oct. 6. If any voter has not received their guides and ballot by Oct. 14, it is highly recommended they contact the Elections Office by phone (1-800-824-8683), email ([email protected]) or by visiting in person at 3715 Atherton Road in Rocklin.

Due to this statewide special election, vote center and drop box locations in Placer County have changed. Voters are highly encouraged to review their voter information guides and voting materials closely, especially the lists of locations and their days and hours of operation, and to consider casting their ballots early to avoid long wait times.

Additionally, the Placer County Elections Office hereby gives notice that it will hold a voter education workshop Oct. 1 at 2 p.m. This workshop is primarily intended for voters who may need additional assistance to cast their ballots independently and privately, though all interested parties are welcome to attend.

The workshop will be held in the training room of the Elections Office at 3715 Atherton Road in Rocklin. A remote attendance option is available via Zoom and can be found on the Elections website at https://www.placercountyelections.gov/voters-choice-act//#VoterEducationWorkshops.
