Auburn State Theatre to Celebrate Día de los Muertos Featuring "Coco" Screening

AUBURN, CA (MPG) - Auburn State Theatre, in collaboration with New Auburn Cemetery and a host of talented creatives, presents a celebratory, family-oriented event focusing on the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).
The evening features dynamic, colorful performances by Trio Los Embajadores Mariachi and Groupo Folklorico Dance, and culminates in an outdoor screening of Disney/Pixar’s Oscar-winning “Coco”. Maria’s Mexican Tacos will be onsite, so enjoy dinner and a movie!
The gate opens at 5 p.m. for kids’ activities, which include decorating sugar skulls and face painting. Enjoy Mariachi music and a performance of Folklorico Dance. “Coco” screens at 6:30 p.m. Bring your chairs and blankets.
In “Coco”, vibrant tale of family, fun and adventure, an aspiring young musician embarks on an extraordinary journey to the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead. 2018 Oscar Winner for Best Animated Feature Film and Golden Globe Winner for Best Motion Picture Animated.

We very much appreciate New Auburn Cemetery’s hosting this event, which will take place in the community event area at 1040 Collins Drive, Auburn CA behind the office building and does not involve any burial sites.
