ROCKLIN, CA (MPG) - The Placer County Elections Office has announced that the canvass and certification of the November 4, 2025 Statewide Special Election is complete and results are now considered official.

Under Chapter 4 of California election code, county elections offices are required to perform several post-election canvassing activities to ensure the accuracy of election results, including a manual tally (i.e., hand count) of randomly selected ballots. More than 30% (nearly 57,500) of all ballots cast in Placer County were included in this manual tally; canvass results demonstrated that ballots were counted correctly and accurately by elections equipment.
