Candidate Filing Period Extended for Several California State Offices on June 2, 2026 Statewide Direct Primary Election Ballot

ROCKLIN, CA (MPG) - 
In accordance with California Elections Code section 10516, the California Secretary of State's Office announced that the nomination period for several state offices has been extended because the incumbent failed to file candidate filing paperwork by the March 6 deadline. 

For a list of offices for which candidate filing has been extended, contact the California Secretary of State's Office. 

There are no local offices within Placer County for which the extension of candidate filing applies.
