AUBURN, CA (MPG) - The Placer County Board of Supervisors approved the updated Countywide Capital Improvement Plan, outlining a more streamlined approach to infrastructure planning and advancing a slate of projects for the coming fiscal year.
The five-year plan, covering fiscal years 2026–27 through 2030–31, serves as the county’s roadmap for major capital needs, including parks, public safety facilities, transportation and broadband. Projects are funded separately through the county’s annual budget process.
Projects expected to move forward this year include park improvements at Hidden Falls, Griffith Quarry, Sheridan, Loomis and Gould parks, as well as upgrades to the Auburn Library, Roseville Memorial Hall and multiple county facilities.
Public safety and community investments include continued work on the South Placer Jail mental health and vocational facilities, a new Health and Human Services crisis center, and improvements to the Auburn Jail.
Additional efforts include roadway safety upgrades, wastewater and landfill improvements, Tahoe City access enhancements and a countywide broadband expansion project.
Project details and cost breakdowns can be found in the county’s staff presentation document.
