KINGS BEACH, CA (MPG) - Community members are encouraged to participate in a virtual public meeting focused on the North Lake Tahoe Parking Management Program from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 28. The meeting will discuss employee parking solutions that support local businesses in Kings Beach, detail the expansion of paid parking lots and provide timely updates.
As the community continues to welcome visitors throughout the year, ensuring local employees have reliable access to parking remains a key priority for maintaining a healthy and vibrant local economy. As the program enters its third summer of operation, changes to employee parking could be made to streamline this service. The county currently uses license plate recognition technology for parking violations and could ensure employee parking is protected.
“This meeting is an important step in refining a parking program that serves our businesses and helps our residents,” said Placer’s Deputy Director of Public Works Jared Deck. “We encourage everyone to join the conversation and share their perspective to help improve our process and learn more about the program.”
County staff will also share updates on current parking strategies and outline key changes ahead for the program, including expanded paid parking in Kings Beach. Community members will have the opportunity to provide input, ask questions, and help shape the program that seeks to balance the needs of residents, businesses and visitors.
The virtual format allows participants to join from anywhere, making it easier for those who live or work in the North Lake Tahoe region to engage in the planning process.
