Placer County Student Claims Back-to-Back State Spelling Bee Titles

ROCKLIN, CA (MPG) - A Placer County student is once again earning statewide recognition for academic excellence, demonstrating remarkable dedication and a passion for learning. Representing the region with distinction, Ryan Sekera of the Eureka Union School District has secured his place as a back-to-back California State Elementary Spelling Bee champion.
Ryan first earned the state title in 2025 and returned this year to successfully defend his championship. Through consistent study, practice and a deep understanding of words and their origins, Ryan continues to set a high standard for academic achievement.
