Tahoe Literary Festival Announces Call for Submissions for Oct. 9–10 Festival

TAHOE CITY, CA (MPG) - The Tahoe Literary Festival returns for its third year Oct. 9–10. The event is a weekend celebrating the literary arts, creativity and community. The festival is set on the shores of beautiful Lake Tahoe, and brings together acclaimed authors, poets, publishers, industry leaders and emerging voices. A grassroots non-profit organization, The Tahoe Literary Festival fosters creativity, cultivates community and support for the literary arts in the Tahoe region.

Proposals for workshops, panels, craft talks, author conversations and literary programming are now open until July 10. To submit visit the website at TahoelLitFest.com.

Featured authors for the 2026 festival include: author, entrepreneur, and television personality Parvati Shallow, California Poet Laureate Lee Herrick, Nevada Poet Laureate Shaun Griffin, author, co-founder of Memoir Nation Podcast and executive producer of America’s Next Great Author, Grant Faulkner, award-winning author Suzanne Roberts, and acclaimed novelist and writing teacher Sands Hall. Additional featured guests will be announced throughout the summer.

This year the festival also showcases a Business of Writing track, offering practical guidance for authors, writers and creatives seeking to build sustainable careers. Sessions will explore publishing pathways, marketing, platform-building, branding, entrepreneurship and navigating today’s evolving literary landscape.

Programming includes both free and ticketed events, literary conversations, workshops, community book fair and opportunities to connect with writers from across the region and beyond. A complete schedule and ticket information will be announced later this summer.
