KINGS BEACH, CA (MPG) - For the 20th season, the popular Music on the Beach free concert series is returning to Kings Beach with a full lineup of live performances. Presented by the Kings Beach District with support from the North Tahoe Chamber, Music on the Beach features a wide range of musical genres all set against the stunning backdrop of North Lake Tahoe.

Beginning June 19, concerts are scheduled nearly every Friday (except July 3 and Aug. 7) through Sept. 4 starting at 6:30 p.m. Craft beer from Alibi Ale Works, wine from Truckee River Winery, and local food vendors will serve from 6 to 9 p.m.

“Music on the Beach has been a signature event series in Kings Beach for 20 years, and we’re excited to welcome music lovers back for another great summer of live tunes, great food and drinks, and dancing on the beach,” said Darcy Parrillo, Kings Beach District Manager.

Kicking off the series on June 19 is Pacific Vibration, a premier independent reggae band led by singer-songwriter Kerry Wing of Pacifica, California. Rooted in authentic reggae rhythms and elevated by soulful, expressive vocals, the band delivers conscious, uplifting music with lyrics aimed to make a positive change in the world.

Concert goers are encouraged to use public transportation, walk, or ride a bike to the Kings Beach State Recreation Area. Thanks to support from the North Tahoe Community Alliance, the Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition will offer a free, secure bike valet for each event, making it easy and convenient to ride instead of drive.

Outside alcohol and pets are not permitted at Music on the Beach events. Volunteers are always needed (sign-up here), and concert or series sponsors are welcome.
