LINCOLN, CA (MPG) — FieldHaven Feline Center has been recognized in the 2026 Best of the Best Lincoln awards, earning top honors in two categories: Best Nonprofit Group/Organization and Best Thrift Store for FieldHaven Marketplace.

The annual Best of the Best awards are determined by community voting and celebrate the businesses and organizations that make the Lincoln community special.

For FieldHaven Feline Center, the recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the community behind the organization: the adopters, donors, volunteers, shoppers, foster families, veterinary partners, staff members and supporters who make its work possible every day.

“This recognition belongs to our entire community,” Executive Director of FieldHaven Feline Center Makenna Gwaltney said. “Every cat cared for, every family supported and every life changed happens because people believe in this mission and choose to be part of it. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who voted for FieldHaven Feline Center and continues to stand alongside us.”

FieldHaven Feline Center works to improve the lives of cats and the people who care about them through rescue, adoption, veterinary care and community support programs. FieldHaven Marketplace extends that mission by turning donated goods and community shopping into resources that directly support the organizations lifesaving programs.

Winning Best Thrift Store is a testament to the volunteers, donors, shoppers and team members who have made FieldHaven Marketplace a community destination with a purpose.

The Best Nonprofit Group/Organization honor carries an equally important message: FieldHaven’s mission continues to resonate with the community it has served for years.

“We are proud of these awards, but even more proud of what they represent,” Gwaltney said. “They represent people coming together around a shared belief that cats deserve care, families deserve support and our community is stronger when we take care of one another. FieldHaven is not simply an organization. It is a community. And this recognition belongs to all everyone.”
