TAHOE CITY, CA (MPG) – Tahoe City Public Utility District (TCPUD) will temporarily close the Lake Forest Boat Ramp from Nov. 1 through Nov. 30 to complete permitted dredging operations.

During the closure, winter boat ramp operations managed by the Tahoe Resource Conservation District will temporarily relocate to Obexer's Marina in Homewood.

Dredging is performed every seven to ten years to remove accumulated sediment from the boat launch area and maintain safe conditions for launching and retrieving boats. This routine maintenance helps ensure the ramp remains accessible and operational for boaters.

Work is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, weather and conditions permitting. The boat ramp will remain closed to public use throughout the project.

TCPUD appreciates the community's patience and cooperation while this important maintenance work is completed.
