AUBURN, CA (MPG) -  The Placer County Community Development Resource Agency has released the final recirculated environmental impact report for the proposed Mill Creek Single Family Residential Project, a 322-lot single-family development with five parks and a trail in the southeastern Dry Creek–West Placer community.

The 65.2-acre project site spans multiple parcels abutting the Sacramento County line south of PFE Road, between Cook-Riolo Road and Antelope Road. The proposal calls for the demolition of existing onsite structures to make way for new single-family residences, neighborhood parks and a connected pedestrian paseo.

The project area is comprised of three properties:

Marquez/Valencia property – Currently home to Green Paradise Nursery, a commercial and wholesale growing operation. The site contains greenhouses, a residence, Quonset huts, outbuildings, irrigation facilities, storage tanks and utility infrastructure.

GB3one3/MC1 properties – Includes one single-family residence, numerous accessory structures and agricultural outbuildings, grasslands, scattered trees and a former almond orchard, as well as areas previously disturbed by farming.

Pruett property – A 25-acre parcel containing a drainage swale and areas disturbed by past agricultural use.

The FREIR analyzes potential environmental impacts of the project, including those related to traffic, biological resources, water quality, air quality, noise and cultural resources, and identifies mitigation measures to address them.

The release of the FREIR marks a key step in the environmental review process. The document is now available to the public and will be considered, along with the project’s entitlements, by the Placer County Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors.

The FREIR and supporting documents are available for review on the county’s website or in person at the Placer County Community Development Resource Agency, 3091 County Center Drive, Auburn.
